Hallway Makeover

A long, long time ago, when I was a teenager (about half my age now GASP) I filed away this decorating idea for some day when I'd have my own house.  Now, after living here for almost 5 years, I'm finally incorporating it.  

A house I visited, way back when, had each bedroom door painted a different color

I was enthralled with this idea.  It's been percolating in the back of my mind until now. 

I decided to paint each door to the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs a different color - but the color of the room inside

Then, I decided to put a sign on each door that would give a name or label to what each room was.

I don't have a "before" picture, but here is the upstairs as it was last Tuesday morning (all the doors were the original wood just like the trim is here):

 This is what it looked like last Tuesday night after a coat of primer:

Here is the finished result after two coats of high-gloss enamel white paint on the trim:
