Birdhouse Cheap
Can you believe this cost me $1 at a rummage sale? $1!
I'm still a little giddy over it.
This is what it looked like when I brought it home:
Not too bad, (except for the obvious signs that a real, live bird inhabited this cage) but I thought it could be better.
Here it is after some black spray paint became it's friend:
I used this paint (and a trick I learned from this blogger) to give a little definition to the decoration along the bottom of the cage:
Next, I added a round craft mirror ($5) to the bottom and set some candles I had in it.
Here it is on top of my piano.
Romantic, doncha think?
And cheap. Total cost: $9
