I'm a total klutz. Which is bad enough, but being coordinationally-challenged in the kitchen can be really bad. Especially when a stove or oven is involved. My arms have several burn marks where I caught myself on the rack of the oven, or a hot pan handle. A few years back, I found Tea Tree oil - one of God's greatest gifts to mankind. Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic and disinfectant. It also works miracles on burns. Last week I burned my hand on a hot cast-iron pan handle. I thought it wasn't too bad of a burn, so I ran cold water over it and sat down to eat with the family. Minutes later, my hand was still throbbing, so I got out the Tea Tree oil and poured a couple of drops on my burn. Immediately - really - the pain stopped. That was it. The burn healed and I didn't even notice it anymore.
Besides healing burns, here are a few other ways we use Tea Tree Oil at my house:
1. When one of us has a cold coming on, we pour a few drops in a hot bowl of water, drape a towel over our head, and breathe in the steam. This will clear up clogged sinuses and help stop a cold.
2. When the kids get a scrape or small cut, I grab the Tea Tree oil to help clean it and speed healing.
3. Tea Tree oil is also a great disinfectant and is an awesome alternative to chemical disinfectants. A few drops in a spray bottle of water or water mixed with vinegar or even soap makes short work of germ.
So, you do a little research for yourself on the uses and benefits of Tea Tree Oil, and you will be amazed at this wonderful God-given oil.
